TCG Ring (Unit) for efficient equipment layout using large-diameter hollows
The company had been using DD motors in its shape image inspection equipment for sensors and other electronic components. However, with the development of new in-house equipment, the company wanted to change the layout around the drive unit and make the entire equipment more compact.
Solution/Countermeasure
The hollow space was expanded in response to the user's request to increase its diameter, fitting the external peripheral parts inside it and resulting in a more compact overall device.
Effects/Benefits
Downsizing the entire equipment led to improvements in the surrounding environment (securing lines for human movement) and the introduction of automated guided vehicles to transport people between processes.
