Miniaturization of measuring equipment

The index table of the existing measuring equipment had a small inner diameter, and the camera support poles and wiring were all installed on the outside of the table, taking up space in the factory.

Solution/Countermeasure

Considering replacing with an RGU (TCG cam ring unit). The unit has a large inner diameter, and it is designed with the concept of placing the camera support, wiring, and other components at the center of the table. Additionally, the RGU series integrates the TCG ring, roller pinion, cross roller bearing, ball reducer, and motor attachment, which is expected to reduce unnecessary design and assembly work. Furthermore, with the crossed roller bearings, the RGU alone can sufficiently bear the load of the table and the workpiece, making it possible to reduce the number of components.

Effects/Benefits

By adopting the RGU (TCG Cam Ring Unit), it became possible to install the camera's support post and wiring inside the hollow of the table, making the entire device more compact and saving space. Additionally, by utilizing its high load capacity, it was possible to reduce the peripheral components that bear the load of the table.

1. The unit has a large hollow diameter, allowing structures and wiring to pass through.
2. Because the RGU integrates the TCG ring, roller pinion, cross roller bearing, ball reducer, and motor attachment, it can reduce design and man-hours.
3. The unit is capable of handling high loads, making it able to fully support the weight of tables and workpieces.
