Solutions
Compact, Low-Profile AGV Enabled by an Ultra-Thin Differential Reducer
As demand continues to grow for even lower-profile and more compact AGVs, there is an increasing need to downsize individual components. However, the gearbox occupies a significant amount of space around the drive unit, creating a key design challenge. While a smaller gearbox is required to achieve a more compact layout, maintaining payload capacity remains essential.

Effects/Benefits
A low-profile and compact design required for next-generation AGVs was successfully achieved.
By reducing the height and overall size of the AGV, it became possible to deploy the system in confined factory spaces where manual transport had previously been necessary, as well as in facilities with strict height restrictions on loads. This contributed to enhanced product competitiveness.
Furthermore, the compact AGV design increased layout flexibility for surrounding equipment and robots, helping to optimize material handling processes.
