Solutions
Improved quality of manufactured products and reduced running costs
Existing equipment uses belt pulleys due to concerns about backlash.
While this prevents rattling due to belt friction, dust from worn belts adheres to products, resulting in defective products and the need to manually wipe off dust from products, which is an issue.
In addition, belt tension adjustments are required as part of maintenance due to belt stretching, which is a hassle for workers.

Solution/Countermeasure
Considering the TCG ring, aiming for low wear and low dust generation while maintaining no backlash.
The principle of contact and meshing of the TCG ring is different from that of conventional spur gears, and rolling contact is achieved by meshing a ring gear with teeth using a trochoid curve with a pinion using a roller pin. It is considered for adoption because it has no backlash, high-precision positioning, and high maintainability (low wear and low dust generation).

Effects/Benefits
The adoption of the TCG ring makes it possible to avoid the adhesion of wear powder that was an issue with belt pulleys, which has led to a lower defect rate and less work required to wipe off wear powder from products, as well as reducing labor hours and facilitating the inspection process.
In addition, because there is almost no wear on the meshing parts of the TCG ring and roller pinion, no maintenance is required other than the initial adjustment of pressure during assembly, and the hassle of adjusting belt tension has been eliminated.
1. Resolves the issue of wear powder adhesion while maintaining no backlash.
2. Reduces the number of mechanical parts for adjusting belt tension and reduces the maintenance work of regular tension adjustment.
3. Extends the maintenance cycle, contributing to reduced maintenance and running costs.
